Upcoming Courses and Sessions

Mindfulness Resilience Group Course, live online (4 sessions on Wednesday evenings).
Dates 1st, 8th, 15th and 29th March 2023

This training will take the form of a Mindfulness Resilience Course over 4 weekly sessions. This training introduces mindfulness as a practical tool and over the sessions introduces ways to develop skills and qualities which will help build resilience to life’s inevitable ups and downs. Rather than thinking about and reacting to what has happened or might happen it, this kind of training helps us to respond to what is happening more skilfully. You will develop practical tools to managing thoughts and emotions and finding ways to thrive rather than just survive.
Mindfulness is so much more than doing a meditation app. Even if you are already doing some guided mindfulness mediation on an app, you will learn so much on this course to make mindfulness something that you use every day in your life, rather than it just be 10 minutes to get a break from your life.

Since doing the training I am able to step back from my thoughts and get less caught up in unhelpful thought loops. As a consequence, I feel calmer and more in control.’
‘‘I am starting to be more aware of what is ‘going on’ inside me. It means I can more often respond rather than react when my children are being challenging.’’

Dates and Times:  4 x 2 hour sessions on Wednesday evenings 7-9pm
Dates are  1st, 8th, 15th and 29th March
Venue: On Zoom, live online sessions with a maximum of 10 participants to ensure personalised learning.

Mindful Living group course (8 weekly sessions on a Tuesday evening)
Dates 31st Jan – 28th March 2023

This training will take the form of the classic MBSR (mindfulness based stress reduction) course which is the gold standard in mindfulness training. It is taught over 8 weekly sessions to allow mindfulness to really become embedded into life while you have the personal support of your tutor. As with the 4 week introductory programme this training introduces mindfulness as a practical tool and over the sessions introduces ways to develop skills and qualities which will help build resilience to life’s inevitable ups and downs. Rather than thinking about and reacting to what has happened or might happen it, this kind of training helps us to respond to what is happening more skilfully. You will develop practical tools to managing thoughts and emotions and finding ways to thrive rather than just survive. the longer 8 week programme enables you to practice applying the foundational skills to many additional different areas of life including communication, interrupting unwanted habits, parenting, learning to be kinder and more accepting of yourself
